On 6th November, 2012 the consortium of SKG S.A. and UAB Alna Business Solutions signed a contract worth MLTL 2,35 with Customs Department at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania for development and maintenance of the MAKIS Financial-Accounting System.

MAKIS System is responsible for collecting and clearing of taxes and customs duties, handling related administrative procedures and risk analysis.

Bielsko-Biała, Poland – 22.08.2012 - SKG S.A. today announced that SKG eSAMBO v.1 (www.skg.pl) has achieved Oracle Database Ready, Oracle WebLogic Ready, Oracle Solaris Ready, Oracle Linux Ready and Oracle VM Ready status through Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), This achievement demonstrates that SKG S.A. has fully tested and supports eSAMBO v.1 on Oracle Database 11g Release 2, Oracle WebLogic Server, Oracle Solaris 11, Oracle Linux and Oracle VM 3.0.

Achieving Oracle Exastack Ready status for eSAMBO v.1 is a great opportunity for SKG to differentiate its solution and gain a competitive advantage. It also provides evidence to customers that eSAMBO v.1 has been tested and tuned to achieve optimal performance, scalability and reliability. Jubilee Conference on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Institute of Internal Auditors IIA

On 28-30 May 2012 Jubilee Conference was held on the occasion of the Tenth Anniversary of the Institute of Internal Auditors in Poland. SKG S.A. was honored to be one of the main Sponsors. Conference took place in the Gromada Airport in Warsaw and Mazurkas Hotel in Ozarow Mazowiecki, over 190 participants attended a series of lectures and took part in the four thematic panels devoted to the audit in the following sectors:
  • Public,
  • Private,
  • Financial,
  • IT and Telecommunications.
The theme of the Conference was: Internal Audit against the decades: its meaning, value and prospects of development in Poland and abroad.
SKG S.A. representatives were advisers in:
  • IT and Telecommunication panel where they presented: “Internal Audit Tools - directions of development” and participated in discussion panels about “The adequate level of security and quality of IT services provided by external vendors” and “Internal Audit as a tool for stimulating the growth and maturity of IT security systems in the organization”.,
  • Private sector panel participating in a discussion about: “Management and Supervisory Boards expectations towards Internal Audit”.
SKG S.A. representatives conducted several discussions with the participants of the conference about how ACL Solutions can support Internal Audit.

Delivery of ACL software to the Ministry of Justice in Poland

SKG S.A. signed on 12th April, 2011 a contract for delivery of 116 licenses of software for collecting and analysing data, detecting fraud and monitoring expenses along with technical support and training services.

SKG S.A. at IATA conference

SKG S.A. along with EurTradeNet Alliance participated in IATA World Cargo Symposium in Istanbul, Turkey. Automated communication with customs administration systems across European countries based on EurTradeNet partners‘ infrastructure was presented.

Delivery of ACL software to the Ministry of Finance in Poland

SKG S.A. signed on 17th December, 2010 a contract for delivery of 427 licenses of software for control of tax payers.

SKG S.A. in Computerworld rankings

SKG S.A. has been ranked fifth in the TOP200 ranking of IT and telecommunications companies published by the Computerworld weekly as one of the companies with the greatest increases in revenue in the years 2008-2009.

Computerworld's TOP200 report includes a comprehensive analysis of the financial health of major companies, business strategies and human resources. The report contains a cross-sectional overview of IT and telecommunications providers showing the actual balance of power and areas of competence present on the Polish market.

SKG S.A. was ranked 5th in the category of companies with the largest increases in revenue. The company's revenue from sales of products and services in 2009 increased by 67.4% compared to 2008.

With its revenues from the custom software development at PLN 11,003 thousand the company again managed to get a high position ranked 9th. SKG S.A.'s solutions are used to support the operation of government departments, central government agencies as well as regional and local government bodies.

57% of SKG S.A. revenues gained from exports gave 15th place in the ranking.

SKG S.A. was also ranked 20th in the category of the highest revenue companies providing services to the public administration in 2009. Recently SKG S.A. has carried out projects for the customs administrations of Poland, Lithuania, Bulgaria and Slovakia.

SKG S.A. was ranked 146th in the general category of companies operating in Poland strengthening its position in IT&Telecom sector.

Jarosław Główka, President of SKG S.A., was honored with the Info STAR award, one of the most prestigious awards in Polish IT. Statuettes were given at the Information Society Gala held on 17 May, 2010 in Warsaw.

ICS-I in production mode

As of 30th April, 2010 the functionality of the Customs Declaration Processing System implemented by SKG S.A. for Lithuanian Customs covers also handling of ICS Phase I procedures and documents.

ICS-I International tests

On 25th of February 2010 SKG S.A., together with Lithuanian Customs Administration, successfully finished Conformance tests of the Lithuanian ICS-1 Import Control System.

Till 17th of December 2009 all the required test scenarios covering communication between the national application and test application, imitating ICS systems of other member states, being supported by DG TAXUD were completed successfully. In January and February 2010 the International tests covering communication with real systems of other member states were conducted (so called Mode-3).

Periodical audit

From 18th-19th of February 2010 the Quality Management System of SKG S.A. was audited according to ISO 9001:2008 standard and received recommendation to extend validity of the certificate for another year.

Change of company name

Starting from 3rd September, 2009 the previous company name Systemy Komputerowe – Główka S.A. is being replaced with a new one SKG S.A.

Since 1st July, 2009, the Customs Declaration Processing System implemented by SKG S.A. for Lithuanian Customs is working in production mode. The System covers handling of import declarations and export control in scope of Phase II of ECS system.

ECS-2 International tests

On 16th of June 2009 SKG S.A., together with Lithuanian Customs Administration, successfully finished Conformance tests of the Lithuanian ECS-2 Export Control System.

All the required test scenarios covering communication between national application and a test application supported by DG TAXUD and imitating ECS systems of other member states were completed succesfully. Starting from 18th of June 2009 the International tests covering communication with real systems of other member states are conducted (so called Mode-3).

SKG S.A. within EurTradeNet Initiative became a stable member of the Trade Contact Group at the European Commission.

The Trade Contact Group is a consultation body responsible for representation of interest of traders in front of the European Commission and the Directorate General for Trade and Indirect Taxation (DG TAXUD) in the area of development of procedures and solutions toward eCustoms.

Contract signature for Declaration System for Lithuania

Systemy Komputerowe – Główka S.A. (SKG S.A.) signed on 28th of March 2008, a contract worth over 21 million Litas (>6MEUR) with the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania for Renewal, Development, Implementation, Maintenance and Support Services of Customs Declarations System.

In the next 3 years SKG S.A. with its Lithuanian partner, UAB ERP, will be responsible for replacing functionality of current declaration system and for implementation of solutions required by the European Commission, such as Export Control System (AES/ECS), Import Control System (AIS/ICS) and other.

ECS in production mode

From the night 27th-28th of June 2007 the Export Control System (ECS), developed by SKG S.A., was launched in production mode. ECS aims at supporting full export functionality, so far realised by CELINA Declaration Processing System. Until September 2007 the system is going to be used in border locations, to replace CELINA's export functionality in full scope after that date.

EurTradeNet project financing

The European Commission granted financing for the EurTradeNet project within the eTEN programme. The currently started project, to be finished in 16 months, aims at further development and market validation of EurTradeNet Alliance services.
